Match the kit to the gym
Ask for the gym’s beginner list before placing an order. Wraps, gloves and clothing are a starting point; protection for partner work depends on the session and the coach. Open-finger grappling gloves are not interchangeable with closed boxing gloves. A karate or taekwondo label is not proof of suitability for Muay Thai.
For children, involve the coach and parent in sizing. Do not infer suitability from a cheerful design or the word “children” in a listing. Equipment cannot remove the risks of contact sport.
Categories worth comparing
Our supplied catalogue includes wraps and clothing, gloves, shin guards, groin and chest protection, headgear, towels, glove inserts and bags. These are research categories, not endorsements of every listing. Ask whether a product is sold singly or as a pair and whether size refers to the wearer or the packaging.
Useful Thai search terms include นวมชกมวย (boxing gloves), ผ้าพันมือ (hand wraps), สนับแข้งมวยไทย (Muay Thai shin guards), กางเกงมวยไทย (Muay Thai shorts), and กระสอบทราย (punching bag). Paste a term into Lazada’s own search; our general link opens the homepage.
Care and replacement
Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and let equipment dry between sessions. Glove deodorizers are accessories, not a substitute for drying or cleaning. Share the gym’s hygiene rules with anyone borrowing your kit.
Inspect stitching, fastenings and padding before use and ask your coach when an item should be replaced. Keep the receipt and model details. An unverified low-cost item should not be advertised as professional protective gear.
